The residence

Home 3A in the East Tower delivers the fantastic experience of being immersed in natural light. The residence unfolds within 11-foot ceilings over the 7-inch-wide plank European oak flooring. Throughout the dwelling, fumed oak cabinetry by Studio Becker, unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures by Waterworks, a chef's kitchen with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and Taj Mahal leathered quartzite countertop and backsplash.

Modern and graceful, the ensuite primary bedroom is ample, chic. Its bathroom wrapped in large-format Italian marble. On the double vanity, a black marble slab with a brass framed beveled mirror above. The free-standing tub by British brand Victoria & Albert is by the window. On the walls are custom brass sconces by Handel Interiors.

The second bedroom's clean lines frame the floor-to-ceiling window. This room is cozy, big, and comfortable, with its private ensuite bathroom. The guest bathroom, in-unit laundry, and deeded parking complete the home.

The Building

288 Pacific is a collection of thirty-three modern construction residences completed in 2018. Its striking façade frames a series of volumes in metal and glass, encompassing the luxury residences in two towers. Carved to include shared rooftop decks, the open spaces offer water and urban views. For the homeowner's safety and comfort, the residences maintain a dedicated 24/7 door attendant who also oversees the package room, a modern and spacious elevator, and the garage. In the hospitable lobby, you find a blend of heritage marble and painted paneling with reinterpreted Deco and Mid-Century Italian furnishings influenced by displays of the surrounding antique galleries.

The Neighborhood

Jackson Square, a historic gem, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 18, 1971. Steeped in the city's earliest years and the 1849 gold rush, this neighborhood encompasses the northeastern part of the Barbary Coast and is known for its preserved historic commercial buildings in the Classical Revival and Italianate styles. Jackson Square is a haven for haute couture shopping, galleries and antiquariums, and a vibrant epicurean experience.

Award Winning Design

Designed by the prestigious architectural firm Handel Architects  LLP, the project received the California Design Award and Best Project, Residential/Hospitality — ENR California.
